Note to self:
Other people are not required to be interested in you. Just because you find them interesting does not mean it will be reciprocated. And perhaps you flatter them with your attention and they enjoy it. That doesn’t mean they are bad people for allowing you to make them feel special and leaving it at that. You are offering them a gift. Stop waiting for one in return.
